" Make it a point to be as happy as you can, as often as you can, everyday, all the time. "
LaMar Hudson

Growing up as a happy child was very difficult for me. For years, all I had ever known was domestic violence, alcohol abuse, and neglect. The moment in my life that made me decide I would break the cycle of negativity and violence was when I witnessed my older brother nearly killed by my father in a domestic violence dispute, four days before my high school graduation.

I was inspired to become a motivational speaker/consultant by a young lady that was chaperoning my high school graduation party in the late eighties. She recognized my talent as a performer and my ability to interact with people and make them feel good about themselves. This individual presented me with the opportunity to write theme songs for agencies that dealt with the well being of youth and families. I happily accepted her offer and began working with agencies that specialized in helping kids improve their self-esteem as well as working with parent support groups.

Over the years, I began to realize just how much I enjoyed working with individuals that had different views and ideas than my own, but then again the same wants and needs. There were many times that my heart cried out to those that I have worked with due to the situations they had experienced. Not all of the work I do is based on helping people overcome a crisis situation, but the gratification gained from putting a smile on the face of a child that has experienced any form of abuse or an adult that has faced extreme misfortune, is overwhelming.

My ultimate goal is to have a positive impact on as many lives as I possibly can. I set this personal goal because the many individuals I worked with over the years have had a positive impact on mine.
This site is dedicated to all of those that have influenced my life. I would like to put a sincere emphasis on dedicating this to the young lady that recognized my abilities and encouraged me to share “A Positive Message For Life.”
